9.75 (excellent) I started to see this anime because of the art. The scenarios were great and Victorique looked so cute with his Lolita dresses!
But the story really surprised me. It's excelent. The lovers of Sherlock Holmes and the ones who love complex mysteries will be delighted watching this anime. Beside the main story, I also loved the ghost tales and the thunderstruck places that were shown to us through the episodes. One of my favourite animes without a doubt!

7.50 (good) I love the artwoork, the character and scenarios design. Just that turns it on a really worth see anime. The story is quite good as well. It's a mix of fantasy with a really accurated history of the Shinsengumi and the 1863-1869 Japan revolution.

7.00 (above average) It has an interesting storyline, full of misteries and conspiracy. I liked the plot (it's based on real historical figures, during the 18th century, on a pre-Revolutionary France), but I was hopping for a happy ending and got disappointed when I haven't. After thinking on it, I realize that's exactly the end that makes this anime invulgar and worth seeing. "Blind and total loyalty is a grotesque thing" as Guillermo del Toro once said. As a negative point I just have to mention that the character design could be better.

8.00 (good) Despite the animation lacks quality (in my opinion), I loved the plot. In fact this is the only Ai Yazawa anime that I actually saw till the end. It only have 12 episodes but after see the anime I read the manga. They are very similar but some details are better explained at the manga.
I love Yukari's development through the series. How her world changed after meeting George and the others, the new life she buit.
The OP and END themes are really good. I always whatched the credits till the end.

9.00 (very good) Loved the mix of Shakespeare's plays donne on this anime: it has a lot from Romeo and Juliet but also from Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, etc.. It has the essence of that plays in a unique storyline.
The Red Whirlwind (Zorro-like) is my favourite character.
Neo-Verona as a mist between Europeen middle age and fantasy is also an amazing scenario.
And the opening song (translated version of Josh Groban's You Raise me Up) is so great I can't stop earing it.

9.50 (excellent) I usually don't like mecha animes. But this one is different. I really like it. I loved the character development, especially of Katsushiro. But my favourite character will always be Kyuzo. :)
The OST is amazing. Both the opening and ending themes are one of my favourite anime songs ever.
I've also seen Akira Kurosawa's movie where the series is based on. Of course some parts are completely different but it's interesting to notice the similarities, not only at the story-line but also in some of the scenes.
